Sheryl Nome- Macross Frontier by Space-Invader Sheryl Nome- Macross Frontier by Space-Invader
My new Sheryl Nome costume! I found the PERFECT fabric for it downtown in the fabric district - it even has the gradient on it like in the artwork! Unfortunately, it doesn't show up in too many photos because of the lighting... alas. At least you can kinda see it here.

Photo from [link] . Thanks! :D

You're so skinny, I'm super jealous! This looks so beautiful. Ironically, I've been hunting for similar fabric for years for a Star Wars costume. ^__^;

Haha, awww. Pssh, you look fine, no need to be jealous! ;D

There's a shop downtown in the fabric district that has a ton of different mini pleated fabrics. I got some pink chiffon there for the Sailor Mnemosyne costume I'm working on. The L.A. branch of Mood also has quite a selection as well! If there's ever something in particular you need, just shoot me a message and next time I'm in said shops I can give a look around for you. :)

Oh, awesome! I may have to take you up on that someday, because around here [the Baltimore/DC area] I'm just stuck with generic Joann's. Thanks!

Haha, I had that back in Texas. I WORKED at a Joanns! lol. Now that I'm out here in L.A. I feel so spoiled having access to the amazing fabric and wholesale districts downtown!

Oh I spent my fair share of time working at Joann's, hahahah. But I'm definitely jealous of places with fabric districts. If only I lived closer to NYC.

Freaking adorable! Did you tint the wig? It's so cute.

I actually sewed a blonde and a pink wig together :). I'm especially fond of how the bangs turned out!
